Fried rice

Fried rice is a popular component of Chinese cuisine and other forms of Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

Some olive oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 egg, lightly beaten
50g corns
50g frozen peas, thawed
1/4 cup diced carrot
60g leg ham or bacon
200g cooked long grain rice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons oyster sauce

Instructions

1. Heat some olive oil in wok, pour in egg and cook 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once. Remove egg from wok, roll up and slice thinly, set aside.

2. Heat olive oil in wok, add garlic for 1 minute. Add ham, corn, carrot and pea for 4 minutes.

3. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir in remaining ingredients, except egg and toss until rice is heated through. Remove wok from heat, stir in sliced egg. Serve immediately.
